Berakas, Thursday 16 February 2024 – Ghanim International Corporation (Ghanim) has just unveiled their collaboration with Sabah-based Jetsin Sdn Bhd (Jetsin) during the 30th Consumer Fair. Ghanim entered into a Manufacturing Service Agreement in 2024 with Jetsin, one of the leading Halal frozen food distributors in Sabah, who is also a Halal food producer. Through this collaboration, with the authentic recipe from Sabah, Ghanim has started manufacturing the Ready-to-Cook Abang J Frozen Satay in its own facility.
The Abang J Satay that is exclusively for the Brunei market will be solely produced by Ghanim. Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy), Ministry of Finance and Economy. Also present were His Excellency Datuk Mohd Aini bin Atan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam, members of the Ghanim and RBC Board of Directors, senior officials, and representatives from several supermarket outlets.
In his welcoming remarks, Hj Jeff Hadiman bin Dato Paduka Hj Danial, Interim Chief Executive Officer for Ghanim, expressed his gratitude to all parties involved in bringing the product to life. “Abang J Satay by Jetsin for the Brunei market is proudly manufactured by Ghanim for Jetsin, elevating the food manufacturing industry in Brunei as this is the first time for Ghanim to produce for an international brand”.
The Abang J Satay launch marks a significant milestone for both Ghanim and Jetsin, as they unveil a product that blends traditional flavours with modern techniques, showcasing the strength of Ghanim’s manufacturing facility.
Managing Director of Jetsin, Datuk Koh Chung Jade, who also spoke during the launch, conveyed his excitement about the collaboration. “This collaboration is not just about food, it is a testament to the strong bond, shared values, and mutual respect between our two countries”.
The new product will be available exclusively in the 30th Consumer Fair at a special promotional price. Ghanim is a subsidiary of Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd and is currently operating the BFID facility located at Salambigar Industrial Park.
