State-owned Ghanim International Corporation will be marketing products made by local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) under their bruneihalalfoods brand at their newest store located at the Brunei International Aiport.
Ghanim’s bruneihalalfoods now has 60 individual products (SKU) with across 15 different ranges – the majority produced by local SMEs – and are pursuing new avenues to market their products to audiences outside Brunei.
Ghanim CEO Dr Nur Rahman said their airport store follows to opening of two similarly styled outlets in the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
“By opening at the airport we will not only be able to connect with foreign customers (on an individual basis) but foreign business owners too which will help open up more supply for our products,” said Dr Nur.
Syarikat Hj Bungsu bin Kami & Anak-Anak – who operate the Brunei branch of the baggage protection company Seal & Go – will be operating bruneihalalfoods’ airport store, lending their packaging expertise for chilled or frozen products.
“We also have a range of frozen pizza and chicken, as well as ice cream, which Syarikat Hj Bungsu will be able to package properly for customers to carry comfortably,” said Dr Nur.
The opening of the bruneihalalfoods store follows a growing number of retail outlets at the Brunei International Aiport selling locally made products, including Seri Nova’s village product store and Simpor Pharma’s outlet selling health supplements and pharmaceutical products.
Bruneihalalfoods is actively seeking to partner with local SMEs to market their products locally and abroad under their brand and growing distribution network.
The bruneihalalfoods store operates from 6.30am to 11.30pm daily and is located in the departure hall next to the check-in in area.
