Initially known as the Buy Local Produce Campaign, BLPC started as an initiative to support Brunei’s farmers and growers during the COVID-19 wave where access to markets were limited. This initiative by Ghanim International Corporation which began in 2020, started as a collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Economy, and Darussalam Enterprise.

Ghanim, through BLPC, purchased various local produce from all districts directly from local farmers and supply these produce to various channels which included retail outlets, restaurants, the Junction outlets and numerous online platforms, as well as providing home delivery services during the unprecedented times.

Later renamed the Brunei Local Produce Centre, BLPC to this day continues to support local farmers and growers by providing alternative avenues and wider market access for their produce – heading its operations at The Junction Salambigar.

With the avid support of the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, BLPC was allocated a permanent physical shopfront to maintain their business operations in a more strategic location for customers.

Since the start of 2024, BLPC has been operating at a physical location in Rimba and will continue to offer more than just the finest, farm-fresh local produce!
